How do I declare free USPS Supplies?
Creating your declaration
Once your USPS Supplies arrives at our US facility, you will have to login to your account and create your declaration. To do this just click on the “Action Required” tab, look for the shipment you’d like to work on and click on “Provide Details". Here are the things to remember when providing details for a USPS Supply:
- Use the description "USPS Supplies" when creating your declaration (no need to mention the exact USPS Supply you ordered)
- Type in the number of supplies ordered in the "Quantity" field
- Since these are free USPS Supplies you can declare the value as $1(CBSA Tax and Duty will not apply to these items)
- Select "Other" from the category and product dropdown.
- “Item made in North America” - leave this box unchecked.
- You'll need to upload the invoice provided by USPS showing the supplies you ordered.
After filling out the required fields, click on the SUBMIT button.
After hitting on SUBMIT, a confirmation screen will show up showing the estimated costs. If everything looks good, you can click on the REQUEST button.
Congratulations! You have successfully created your declaration. Your shipment will now be sent to our Data Entry Team for approval, they will double check the information you have provided. In case there are any issues, you will be notified via email. If all the information you have provided is correct, the shipment will be approved and will be added on the next trip.
