How to secure your Shippsy account

Turn on 2-Step Verification, save your recovery codes, manage trusted devices, and link your Google, Facebook, or Apple account for faster sign-in.

Your Shippsy account holds your address book, credit balance, and saved cards — here's how to keep it locked down.

Turn on 2-Step Verification

With 2-Step Verification (2FA), signing in requires your password and a 6-digit code from an authenticator app on your phone.

  1. Install an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, or any TOTP app).
  2. Go to Settings → 2-Step Verification and click Enable.
  3. Confirm your password, then scan the QR code with your authenticator app.
  4. Save your recovery codes somewhere safe — they're your way in if you lose your phone.
  5. Enter the 6-digit code from the app to finish.

From then on, you'll be asked for a code at sign-in. Tick "Trust this device for 30 days" on your own devices to skip the code for a month.

Recovery codes and trusted devices

  • Recovery codes: regenerate them any time from the same settings panel. Each code works once.
  • Trusted devices: the settings panel lists every device you've trusted (browser, IP, location, and expiry). Click Revoke on anything you don't recognize.

Link your Google, Facebook, or Apple account

Under Settings → Linked Accounts you can connect a social account to sign in with one click. You can unlink a provider at any time — just make sure you have a password set first so you don't lose access.

Password basics

Passwords must be at least 8 characters with upper and lower case letters and a number. You can change yours under Settings → Change Password, or use Forgot Password on the sign-in page — reset links are emailed and expire quickly.
