When a shipment is in Pending Details, you need to tell us what's inside. The fastest way is to let us read your invoice for you.
Declare faster: upload your invoice and we'll fill in the details
Upload your purchase invoice first and Shippsy automatically fills in the item descriptions, quantities, and values for you to review before submitting.
How it works
- Open the shipment and click Provide Details.
- Upload your invoice(s) first — PDF, JPEG, or PNG, up to 15 MB per file. You can add more than one (for example, an invoice and an order confirmation).
- Wait a few seconds while we read the invoice. You'll see "Reading your invoice and filling in the item details…"
- We pre-fill each item's description, quantity, and unit value (USD). Review every field and correct anything that doesn't match what you actually paid.
- Select the category and product for each item, and set the country of origin — we never guess these for you.
- Submit.
Things to know
- You're always in control. Nothing is submitted until you review and click Submit. The pre-filled values are suggestions read from your document — you can edit or clear any of them.
- Declared values must be in USD, net of any discounts, gift cards, or store credit you used, and excluding US shipping and sales tax. Your invoice is the proof, so the numbers should match it.
- If we can't read the invoice (a blurry photo, an unusual layout), you'll see a note asking you to enter the details manually — nothing is lost, the form just stays blank.
- Letter mail doesn't require an invoice or declaration details.
Once you submit, your declaration goes to review — see Understanding your shipment statuses for what happens next.
