If you don't want a package — it's not worth returning, or it can't cross the border — you can have Shippsy dispose of it.
How to dispose of a shipment
Don't want a package? You can have it disposed of for $2.50 plus tax. Disposal is permanent and can't be undone.
How to dispose
- Open the shipment from your dashboard.
- Click Dispose.
- Review the charges and confirm.
Disposal is permanent. Once confirmed, the package cannot be recovered.
What it costs
- A $2.50 disposal fee (plus tax).
- If the shipment already arrived in Canada and its duties were finalized, the regular handling fee and CBSA duty/tax are also charged — disposal doesn't cancel amounts already owed. Disposing while the package is still in the US avoids those.
Unclaimed packages are disposed automatically
Packages that sit unclaimed don't stay forever: after the free storage period, daily storage fees apply, and packages still unclaimed after the disposal deadline are disposed of automatically (you'll get warning notifications first). See the Storage Fee Guide for the exact timelines.
